JYP

LOL I used to really not like this guy..

But with his cute dance moves and pretty good songs, its kinda hard to keep hating JYP..

Park Jin Young is one of the most famous male solo artistes in Korea but is better known to the world as JYP.. He is the man who founded JYP Entertainment and produced the likes of Rain, G.O.D, Kim Tae Woo (former), Wonder Girls, 2PM, 2AM.. He even created a sub-company called Cube Entertainment who manages new artistes like 4Minute and B2ST..

He's the first and only Asian producer to cross over to the US market.. But I'm not here to talk about his career..

His latest song No Love No More from his mini album Sad Freedom is starting to grow on me.. It s a pretty catchy track and the dance moves are pretty cute.. LOL

But none of JYP's songs have a dance as cute as Honey.. LOL.. That song too has got me hooked..

JYP is also a pretty good dancer.. I mean you have to be when you had the likes of Rain in your ranks.. Not to mention the dance skills of 2PM..

Reminder to myself..

I'm gonna try this so here goes..

At this point of my life I've decided on doing journalism.. What part of journalism I've yet to confirm but I roughly know where I'm heading..

What I dont want is to become one that twists others' words to get a good story.. Or to make up some false information to get people worked up.. What I dont want is to be a fake.. This serves as a reminder to always stay true to myself and always tell the real story..

Let THIS be an example of what not to become..

Future Ivan, remember this article always and never do the same to cause trouble to one's lives..

Christmas is awesome..!!

No I did not go to some banging party on Christmas day..

Instead, I got the best gift any Kpop fan can ask for.. KBS Music Bank Christmas Special..

This will be the final Music Bank of the year so it was time to recap the awesome year with the 2009 K-Chart..

All the big songs returned to the top of the chart.. Songs like Gee, Tell Me Your Wish (Genie), Sorry Sorry, Abracadabra, Again & Again, Heartbreaker, Mister, Love Rain, Muzik, Hot Issue, Fire.. It was a blast..

The show had a mix of the current K-Chart songs and the ones throughout the year..

Its great to see the likes of SNSD, SHINee, Super Junior, 2PM, f(X), 2NE1, KARA, 4Minute, Kim Tae Woo back on the stage with their biggest hits..

The best performance of the night was the special stage where SNSD, SHINee, and f(X) performed.. f(X) stared with Chu~.. SHINee then joined in to perform a short version of Ring Ding Dong with f(X) dancing the last part with them.. SNSD then took the stage with Gee dressed in white and red.. Gee ended with f(X) and SHINee dancing along with SNSD.. The 3 idol groups then finished things off with Jingle Bell Rock..

There was also a special dance stage.. 4Minute's Hyuna, KARA's Seungyeon, Brown Eyed Girls' Ga-In, and After School's UEE all performed as 4Tomorrow (Samsung campaign).. I really think they should stop asking Ga-In to perform special dances because she cant dance.. But it was a good performace overall..

Super Junior performed the remix version of Sorry Sorry without Kangin, Hangeng, Heechul, and Kibum (this one =.=)..

2PM did a short Silent Night performance and followed it up with Again & Again and Heartbeat..

The return of KARA's booty shaking with Mister.. Loving Goo Hara and Nicole..

4Minute blew off the stage with Hot Issue and Muzik.. I'm drooling over those red high top shoes.. 0.0

BEST MUSIC BANK EVER..!!

Merry Christmas..!!

Ok so Christmas isnt exactly something I celebrate with my family but to my readers, if you're out there or exist at all..

Merry Christmas..!!

Well SNSD performed a very different yet nice version of Gee.. Its awesome..!! Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Seohyun, and Sunny were the only ones singing this time because the slow version requires the best vocals.. LOL.. Anyway its really something fresh..

Also, the stars wished a Merry Christmas to everyone.. =)

**Spot SNSD at the beginning, Kim Tae Woo at around 0:14, and Brown Eyed Girls at the end..

Brown Eyed Girls Flash Mob

LOL Brown Eyed Girls recently performed a flash mob style Abracadabra dance at the COEX Mall in Seoul..

I think this is part of a tv show because MBC cameras were there on standby.. Anyway I get a clear view of my now favorite member of BEG Narsha.. And also the return of the hip shaking Abracadabra..

Nice to see them bonding with the fans.. =)

UPDATE** This is SO for a tv show.. They did it twice and the fans are too accurate at the moves to be just coincidental bystanders.. Either way, BEG 화이팅..!!

What's Up! China : Day 4

Its been a long time coming but its here now..

Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh 2NE1..

Ok I'm kidding.. Day 4 starts now..

We started Day 4 badly.. The highway was closed due to severe haze.. You can barely see the brake lights from the car that's just 6 feet in front of you.. So our master driver took the old road which is a lot lower than the HIGH way (lol get it? HIGHway..) so it wasnt affected by the haze.. It also meant that our one hour journey was extended to a little more than that..

We arrived safely at this place where some king used to bury his horses and carriages.. Another Terracotta Army kind of thing only this time it involves real corpses.. It was pretty eerie looking at all those bones and us being the only people there at the time.. But again it showed me that the Chinese can really do anything.. LOL..

We then stopped by some random underground home.. YES, underground.. Its said that this family dug down and build their home frm there.. It was pretty cool not needing to use foundations and all.. The original owner is now over a hundred years old and she wasnt around at that time.. She went marketing.. LOL.. Her grandsons decided to move next door which is on level ground.. Their refrigerator is awesome.. Its like a manhole with food storage in a basement like place below the house.. Apparently that was enough to keep the food from getting nasty..

Next stop for us was the Guan Gong temple.. I dont think many of you will know who he is but he's pretty famous among Buddhists I guess.. This place is where his head was buried at.. Yes JUST the head.. There a long story to it.. And no he's not some deity that some could doubt his existence.. He was an actual man long long long ago.. Somewhere along the three places we had lunch.. I forgot.. haha..

Our last stop for the day was the Long Men Grottoes.. Long Men as in Dragon Gate NOT long dudes.. Its pretty awesome and its also a UNESCO World Heritage site.. Its actually carvings of Buddha and other deities on the face of the mountain.. Those Chinese really had too much time.. Its an amazing sight when you get there because the size of it is just huge.. and that's the main ones.. There are smaller ones on the way.. There was a monastery looking place on the other side of the river sitting on another hill which i was itching to go to but unfortunately that wasnt on the itinerary..

Dinner that night was pretty good.. I ate so much I swore I was gonna explode.. We checked into yet another hotel after that.. This one was rated 5-stars.. It had a space theme.. Pretty out of the ordinary..

Day 5 : Coming Soon...

SM havoc hits Super Junior

SM Entertainment is gonna lose their supporters one fine day..

After the whole DBSK fiasco, another issue now surfaces.. Hangeng from Super Junior has requested for his contract with SM to be terminated earlier today.. It seems that the Chinese isnt happy with his contract.. Part of the contract doesnt allow Hangeng to pursue a solo career.. Isnt that a little too harsh from SM?

Take YG for example.. Big Bang and 2NE1 are so successful but they allowed G-Dragon, Taeyang, Seungri, Park Bom and if I'm not mistaken TOP to pursue solo careers.. What did they get? G-Dragon won album of the year, Taeyang's popularity sky-rocketed, and Park Bom is doing pretty well.. And even with solo success, they all returned to their groups after promotions.. Is that a bad deal?

SM should let that leash they have on their stars a little loose.. I feel Lee Soo Man is losing his grip in the business.. Now not only will the Hangeng issue affect his future, its affecting 2 other members.. Kyuhyun and Heechul has voiced out their feelings on the affair.. Kyuhyun is supoprting Hangeng while Heechul says Hangeng is his close friend..

Its thanks to Hangeng that Super Junior achieved so much in China.. SM should really think about this.. Losing Hangeng will ruin their Chinese market.. And losing Super Junior will be fatal to the company.. SNSD is capable of keeping the company alive but with Super Junior gone, SM would be losing a whole lot more than just 13 + 2 guys..

슈퍼주니어 화이팅..!!

If I could choose how my heaven would look like..

it would be a Girls' Generation / SNSD concert..

SNSD finally kicked off their first solo concert and from all the craziness in various fansites I can tell that the first concert of the Into The New World Asia Tour in Seoul was an absolute blast.. Its making me itch more for tickets to the Bangkok leg of their tour..

Anyway the girls performed a lot of their songs.. Popular ones like Gee, Genie, Kissing You, Girls' Generation, Chocolate Love and Into The New World.. They even had guest stars singing along and making appearances like f(X), Onew and Key from SHINee, and Eunhyuk and Shindong from Super Junior..

I also heard that the girls each had their own solo performances.. Taeyeon sang Hush Hush by PCD while Tiffany appeared soon after to perform Rihanna's Umbrella.. Sunny went solo for the first time as far as I know while Yoona sang in a wedding dress with Eunhyuk and Shindong.. Jessica and Onew's duet One Year Later doesnt count because its from the album but Jessica did perform Barbie Girl with Key.. Sooyoung performed Santa Baby with maknae Seohyun following up with a piano solo and 16 Going On 17 from the Sound of Music.. Sexy Yuri danced 1,2, Step with f(X)'s Amber and dance queen Hyoyeon raised it up a notch by popping to a remix of Genie and Tipsy..

I'm literally aching from the jealousy I feel towards those fans who reported back from the concert..

beats by Dr. Dre

I was looking for big headphones and considered Philips ones that cost from under RM100 to about RM200.. Those are the cheap stuff.. I also liked those Mix-Style ones that many artistes in Korea use.. You can see it in the SEOUL song video I posted before..

But none compares to this..

beats by Dr.Dre

These are absolutely amazing.. It doesnt only have awesome sound quality, its a looker unlike those thousand-dollar headphones that look like an Astro antenna on your head..

beats by Dr. Dre headphones are made by Monster Cable in collaboration with Dr. Dre.. It is said to deliver the same quality of music as the artistes hear it in the recording studio.. But this awesomeness comes with a price.. RM850 to be exact.. Yes it hurts to have quality doesnt it?

Countless celebrities are loving the beats headphones as much as I am.. To name a few, G-Dragon, Tiger JK, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Will.i.am, Keri Hilson, 2NE1, Lebron James..

If you find the Studio ones too expensive, you can get the Tour ones that cost about only RM120 but these look like those Sony Ericsson handphone headsets.. Small ones..

Those available in stores only come in black while white ones are available on iTunes for members.. I want those colored ones.. I wonder how I could get my hands on those.. There's a special edition made for Lebron James.. They're red in color and have the number 23 on the sides.. DAMN!!

These wonders have also made their way into many music videos.. From Eminem to 2NE1, from G-Dragon to Keri Hilson, Black Eyed Peas to Lady Gaga, they all love beats by Dr. Dre..

Heartbreaker - G-Dragon

Boom Boom Pow - Black Eyed Peas

Fire - 2NE1

So, anyone feeling generous this Christmas? =P

Ni Hao.. China : Day 3

Well its been awhile but here's Day 3..

We left the hotel at around 8.30am and headed for some silk factory place.. Not my kind of place because I cant get shit from there.. Plus the fact that I've been to silk factories in my last two visits to China as well..

We visited some hot spring place where the emperor and his concubines used to spend one of the four seasons at.. It was raining which annoyed me because it was already cold enough.. It then snowed but only for like a good 5 minutes.. It was tempting to stick my hang into one of the hot spring water fountains but the idea of my hand losing the heat soon after and freezing from the wetness kinda changed my mind.. One of the popular places to take pictures for men was the statue of the emperor's favorite concubine.. Naked.. Yup the emperor's memorial for his favorite concubine is a statue of her naked.. I wonder if that's the only way he remembers her.. LOL..

After lunch we headed to the Terracotta Warrior site.. My ultimate goal for the trip.. It was amazing just looking at it and I had to fight my way to a better view.. Call me crazy but I felt a sense of achievement when I finally saw the site with my own eyes.. Another site on my checklist crossed out.. Its said that until now, there has not been any two warriors with the same face.. and this is only a small section of what's expected.. The tomb has yet to be found.. I think.. We spent quite some time there but it was back on the bus after that..

It was supposed to be a long bus ride to the place we're having our dinner so I decided to take a nap.. I woke up 2 hours later and found out we were stuck in a horrible traffic jam and that we've only moved no more than 2 blocks during that time.. Had to make an unplanned stop at another restaurant for dinner.. Everyone was starving so we filled ourselves up quite nicely before trying the roads again.. Our super driver decided to take other routes and managed to find his way onto the highway.. We eventually arrived at the hotel at around 12.30am..

Next: Day 4
