Heritage CIty..

Recently my friend Brian and I went on a walking tour of a small side of Penang.. We went walking around Beach Street and also took a detour into Little India and also the Temple of the Goddess of Mercy or "Guan Yin Teng" as us locals call it..

This little trip made me realize that a lot of us Penangites don't really take time to explore our little island anymore.. The Beach Street area just screams Colonial Period.. The restoration of the area is still in progress but the place is already looking really good..

Beach Street kinda reminds me of Shanghai when I was there in 2003.. Its amazing how similar it feels.. There's little or close to no traffic at all in the evening of course its a Saturday.. The only thing that Beach Street differs from Shanghai is the cold weather, perhaps?

Little India is pretty awesome as well.. I think its the most lively area on the entire island.. From the moment I stepped into Little India, I hear loud Indian music blasting from speakers outside CD stores and it actually lasts till you leave Little India.. You don't see many non-Indians there but I guess it shows the unity of their race?

Guan Yin Teng is a very familiar place for me as I've been there countless times.. It is however the first time I've ever been there when its actually NOT filled with people (and pigeons).. The good thing about the entire trip was that I saw China Street IN Little India.. Talk about cultural unity eh?

There's also a nice little book store which is owned by Tzi Chi on Beach Street and it has a nice ambiance.. Did I mention the drinks are cheap? Its the perfect study place for me this semester and I think it will make my attempt to turn into a nerd this semester easier than I thought.. Did I mention the drinks are cheap? Haha..

So enough with the talk, I shall leave you guys with a preview of what's to come.. I have yet to edit all my pictures.. Enjoy =)

SNSD and 2PM promote Caribbean Bay with an MV

Now its no secret that I'm a HUGE SNSD fan and that I also like 2PM's music.. So when I heard the two groups are collaborating for an advertising campaign for Caribbean Bay, I had to check it out..

The MV is a collaborative song by two of South Korea's most popular Idol Groups.. It centers around 3 members from SNSD and 3 from 2PM.. In the video, Yoona, Yuri, and Seohyun are female lifeguards in training at the theme park and same goes for Taecyeon, Nickhun, and Chansung..

There were 3 pairs in this MV and its Yoona-Taecyeon (main pair), Yuri-Nickhun, and Seohyun-Chansung.. Pretty cool but I'm a little jealous that Taecyeon got Yoona.. The remaining members from both groups made a cameo appearance towards the end..

The girls look awesome and the guys just makes me jealous.. They got the body and the girls.. Anyone wanna sponsor me for a trip to Seoul? Anyone?

So without further ado, here's SNSD and 2PM's MV for Caribbean Bay :

Bonamana~

OK this sounds weird but Super Junior has recently released their latest single from their 4th album.. The song is called Bonamana and I still dont know what it means but its a pretty catchy track and maybe has a hint of Indian music to it? or is it African?

Anyway this album only consists of 10 Super Junior members rather than the usual 13 due to 3 reasons :

(a)  Kibum, the ever disappearing member, has decided to take a break from the group to focus on his acting. Kibum was an actor prior to joining Super Junior.

(b)  Kangin, the temperamental one, is still staying away from group activities since his DUI charge last year.

(c)  Hangeng, Super Junior Chinaman, will also be absent from this album because of his lawsuit against the group's recording company SM Entertainment..

So, controversies aside, here's Bonamana..

NU ABO

SNSD's sister group f(X) is back with a new album and their title track would be one to watch on the charts..

NU ABO is the new track from f(X)'s latest album of the same title.. Its more of an electro-pop track and it sure beats their previous hit, Chu~..

Nothing much to say only that I love this song.. So here it is.. Enjoy! =)

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Well I know this song has been out for awhile now and has since won various chart shows back in Korea but here it is.. Its called Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and its the title track for Korean pop icon Lee Hyori's latest album, H-Logic..

Its quite an addictive track and has a nice beat to it.. My favorite part of the song will have to be the dance in the middle of the song..

Sit back and enjoy this track..
