You gotta love Super Junior..

Ok I swear I really tried not posting anything KPop but this is just too funny to let slip..

Super Junior recently went on Star King and did quite a few things.. First up, HanGeng found out that he had a female fan that is pretty much in love with him.. She's a dancer so HanGeng agreed to dance with her.. Pretty good but HanGeng didnt stop there.. You'll have to watch the video because the only description I could give his dance is LOL..



Next up, HanGeng involved again.. This guy Nichkhun from 2PM is Thai and HanGeng being Chinese made it a pretty international show.. EunHyuk pointed out that although English seemed to be THE international language, Korean seems to be catching up.. You'll see Chinese HanGeng and Thai Nichkhun being introduced to each other IN ENGLISH but when they shake hands and say hi, THEY SPEAK KOREAN..!! Might not be funny to others but I almost fell off my chair when I saw this..



This other video involves HanGeng and ShinDong.. These dudes sang some sad some so HG and SD were asked to give their best sad performance.. HanGeng's facial expression was unexplainable.. ShinDong was awesome all the way (pay attention towards the end of ShinDong's "crying")..

Need new headphones..!!

My iPod earphones (too small to be called HEADphones) are dying..

I really wanna get new ones but not sure which one to get.. I've been a fan of those noise canceling earphones by Sony since the concept came out with the Walkman phones but dont think its healthy to have pieces of rubber stuffed into my ear pumping hard and loud.. I'm already listening to music loud enough on my regular earphones..

I've been keeping an eye on 2 Philips headphones but not sure which one is better or suits my appearance.. Yes I'm vain that way.. So I'm hoping you guys can tell me,
WHICH ONE..??

Frankly I prefer the Mandarin version of Super Girl.. Sounds better.. The Video of both the Mandarin and Korean versions are almost identical but with a few changes.. Try spotting the difference.. The language does not count..

Dongguk University, Seoul..?

I dont know if this is wise decision to make but Dongguk University in Seoul provides an undergraduate course in mass communication that offers journalism, broadcast, radio and stuff like that..

I know you guys are probably saying I've gone too far into this Korean thing but hey, what's life if you cant do what you really like? I dont expect to meet my pop idols there or anything.. I like the culture, the place, the language..

Yes to those who caught the name of the university, it IS where SNSD's Yoona is studying but I just used that mainly as a reference.. I mean I wouldnt know which university to search for right? Its just plain coincidence that Dongguk has what I want..

My parents told me it is expensive to study in the USA and that I need to get some form of scholarship or financial aid in order for me to go there.. Canada wouldnt be that far off either.. So would South Korea be any cheaper? I do know that the cost of living in Seoul is a little high..

I never get any response when it comes to these posts and I have doubts that people even read this one.. I didnt get any for my Radio DJ post anyway..

Hi Seoul! advert..

This is an advertisement made by the South Korean tourism peeps to promote their capital city, Seoul..

If you watch properly, you'd find Girls' Generation (SNSD), Super Junior, and DBSK in the ad.. not sure if there are others in it but these 3 groups are the ones I've seen..

You'll see DBSK at 0:05 and 0:23 in the video..

SNSD comes up at 0:09 and 0:12.. The best part of the video for me is the close-up of Tiffany at 0:14.. Thank you tourism board peeps..!!

SuJu will be spotted at 0:16 and 0:18.. Members present were Heechul, Leeteuk, Kyuhyun, Kangin, and Eunhyuk.. I think there are a few more members but I cant see their faces clearly..

The advert revolves around a couple walking through parts of Seoul and were given a real autumn feeling when DBSK showered them with maple leaves.. The couple then checks out a store where SNSD stood at the display as manikins.. They smiled and moved away after the couples passed.. SuJu scrambled to get the decorations lighted up as they spotted the couple.. The ad ends with the couple enjoying fake snow spread out by DBSK and sharing a kiss..

NOTHING KOREAN..!! For this one post at least..

I'm sure many Penangites know of the recently opened Hard Rock Hotel at Batu Ferringhi so I'm not gonna waste time by repeating that news.. Although I think I just did..


Anyway my parents decide to go all the way to the other side of the island to check out the new Hard Rock Hotel and dine at the famed Hard Rock Cafe.. I was pretty excited.. I've only tried Planet Hollywood before so Hard Rock is new to me..

We decided to go at lunch because there's this rule at HR that prohibits those under the age of 21 to enter HR Cafe after 10.30pm..


The hotel had a very simple look and I think its smart.. Greeting us at the main entrance was a huge Hard Rock guitar.. Our experience there didnt start off particularly well thanks to two KL cars who parked at such a ridiculous angle that it took up most of the parking space we had.. To make things worse, we took the Harrier..


Anyway after managing to get out of the car, we headed to the Cafe and I was pretty shocked to see Michael Jackson.. Yea well dont get too excited, it was just an all white (ironic?) Michael statue sitting in front of the Cafe.. We were seated as soon as we got in but I have to say the place is a little small.. As soon as I sat down I could see items from legendary artistes in frames and pictures of various artistes.. Something did kill my mood a little though.....
The table was wobbling like a drunk Jack Sparrow..!!


Ignoring that I was pretty amazed by the place.. Food was great for me but unfortunately I cant say the same for the rest of my family.. The chicken was dry and pretty tasteless inside.. My Pulled-Lamb Sandwich was good and it filled me up pretty good..


After the meal, one thing went through everyone's mind on that table...

CHILI'S IS CHEAP compared to Hard Rock..

Went around the hotel to just check out the place and its pretty good.. Well I'm no design student but I think they did pretty good.. I was pretty excited to discover the Hall of Fame but was embarrassed when the person in charge there told me it was just the name of their ballroom.. Laugh it up guys..



I dont think there's much else to talk about..

I dont know if I have that level of communication skills because the way i see it, I dont have much.. I'd really like to be a radio DJ on top of that dream travel TV host job..

Boys' Generation performs Gee at Music Bank

This was awhile back.. Members from Super Junior, SHINee, 2AM, 2PM and I dont know who else formed a Boys' Generation.. Members from SuJu were YeSung, SungMin, EunHyuk and ShinDong.. The others I know are 2AM's JoKwon and 2PM's JaeBom..

JoKwon (dude in yellow pants and short hair) was such a wuss.. YeSung sounded great and EunHyuk added a rap to the boys' version.. ShinDong kinda ruined the song.. So did JoKwon.. JaeBom sounded pretty good..

SuJu's KyuHyun Sings "A Whole New World"

KyuHyun, the youngest member of Super Junior and one of their main vocalists sang A Whole New World from Disney's Alladin soundtrack.. This was way back in 2007 on Star King (a TV show in Korea to those non-followers) and it was a duet with one of Philippines' up and coming singers.. She looked like a little girl to me and she talks and walks like some horny freak but then I dont wanna talk about her.. KyuHyun's voice was amazing and this performance brought a few members to tears as it was one of KyuHyun's first performance since the car crash that shocked SuJu fans.. Now I know why my sister loves him so much..

I dont know where this performance was but I really like the additional parts and the changes made to the Sorry Sorry dance by Super Junior.. After half a year performing their most successful song to date, Super Junior took the stage and brought a fresh edited version of Sorry Sorry.. The song and dance is still the same but they added a few things and changed one part..



My friends seem to think this dance is more funny than cool.. BLAH!

Thursday was Brian's 19th Birthday.. Sam called a few of us and planned a surprise party for him.. Well, lets call it a surprise dinner.. =) We all went to Strada.. Unfortunately, we couldnt surprise Brian much because he saw us already when he was outside Strada..

Abracadabra!

I recently came across a not-so-new girl band from South Korea called Brown Eyed Girls.. Yes, I shit you not, the group's name is really BROWN EYED GIRLS..

What are they? Black Eyed Peas fans?

Anyway I dont know what its about but apparently they earned up to USD 8.1million for their Abracadabra promotions.. This amount of money was earned from the sales of albums, ringtones and other products but does not include live performances.. Not bad for a group that does not belong to the 3 giants of KPop (SM, YG, and JYP)..

But I dont really fancy them.. But for the sake of letting my tiny network of non-existent readers, here's their song Abracadabra..

There is another matter that will surely make people think I run a KPop gossip site or whatever.. But this involves Wonder Girls..

Yes I am talking about the same group that I not so long ago said could not be as good as SNSD.. But this is serious, I dont know if I should laugh or be disappointed at this news..

Apparently Wonder Girls was performing in the USA at a Jonas Brothers concert.. I have no idea how the JB fans will relate to WG but lets let that one slide.. During an autograph session with WG, a fan raised his leg and placed it on the table.. He/She asked two WG members dont ask me who to sign his shoes and they did.. Now the thing is that both the WG members did not complain about anything.. It was the fans back in motherland South Korea that were upset at that particular person for apparently DISRESPECTING WG.. Yes I do agree that what that person did wasnt exactly the nicest thing but does it matter if WG was ok with it?

I'm really amused at how others can get upset when the person directly involved is anything BUT upset.. Funny world.. Here's the pictures of the lucky or not so lucky person who got his/her shoe signed..

I dont know about you guys, but the way I see it, these two WGs had no problem with signing that shoe.. WG DISRESPECTED IN USA
